  • Pastor Kim L. Barber-Pastor of Christian Education

Rev. Kim L. Barber is orginally from Clairton, Pa but relocated and raised in West Mifflin wit her parents in 1974. She is the eldest of five siblings.

    A message from Rev. Kim:

In my early years, I heard the Lord say, separate yourself and Come from Amongst Them. The more He pulled to separate, the more I rebelled to be a part. I can truly say I have walked through the valley of the shadow of death. Some good and some bad. But, I am a Survivor!! God sees all, He knows all and hears all and there is nothing in my life that has happened, is happening or will happen that God doesn’t already know. So, since He knows about it, allowed it and it has served its purpose; it has become a part of my metamorphosis.” 2 Cor. 6:17, “Therefore Come out from among the and be separate says the Lord.”

Kim graduated from West Mifflin North High School and continued her education at Duff’s Business School majoring in Office Administration. She later attended Community College of Allegheny County, West Mifflin Campus, where she received her Associate Degree in Word Processing. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Community Ministry from Geneva College and CUBM; she currently completed her graduate project for her Master’s Degree in Organizational and Business Leadership.

Kim accepted Christ as her Savior at the early age of 12 and was baptized at Morning Star Baptist Church of Clairton, under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Rosamind C. Kay, Jr. In 1977, her mother changed their place of worship and was welcomed at Morning Star Baptist Church of West Mifflin.
